Time flies when you're having...ummmm...

Wow. It's been over a week since I've written anything. Sorry, mom.

I'm trying to remember what I've done this last week, but honestly, it's just a blur. I guess I'll just cover the weekend (because, in reality, everyone is just workin' for the weekend, right???)

Friday:
I'm pretty sure work was workish...but let's skip ahead.
I had gotten a text message from my friend Lauren saying that she wanted me to come to Crave to watch her boyfriend play. So I asked Kim if she'd like to join me for a girls' night at Crave. We met at Crave around 7:30 for dinner. I don't know why I was shocked that Lauren rolled in around 8:45. Gotta love that girl...
We had a pretty mediocre meal (bar food...whatcha gonna do??), I got to catch up with some old friends, and we listened to Tim play some pretty good music (not that I'm shocked, but seriously...dude was pretty good...). Kim left around 11 and the rest of us made our way over to On the Roxx. I could handle that crowd for about 9 minutes, before I handed off my white wine (Why did I order white wine?? Wow. I'm weird.) to the nearest friend of a friend (I found it cute that he thanked me for it like I actually bought it for him...) and bolted for the door.
Here. Pics.

Saturday:
Let's see....
Sleeping in.
Cleaning.
Bath.
Blah, blah, blah...let's get to the good stuff.
Dinner at Firebirds with Sheesh, Scott, and Chris! YAY! I kind of knew we were going to be going out to dinner, but I just assumed it was going to be at Wild Wing Cafe or something. Boy was I wrong. No, no, no...Sheesh is too classy for that kinda crap. She was wanting a delicious steak from Firebirds, so darn it...that's where we went.
I WISH I had my camera there. We got a witness a full fledged gray mullet on a man....it appeared that he may have also permed his hair. It made my entire night. It really did.

After dinner, Chris and I went back to his house to wait for Julie to come over and watch Dark Knight. She got there around 11...and I vaguely remember the rest of the night. I know I kept falling asleep, then I'd hear C & J laugh, I'd wake up and act like I'd been awake the entire time, then I'd fall back asleep. Late night movies really aren't my forte.

Sunday:
Sunday morning I ran downstairs to the dryer to try to find something to wear to take Julie to the airport. I'm glad that C didn't come over 30 seconds earlier or else he totally would have caught me minus one shirt in the hallway....then, knowing him, he'd swear that I had meant to do that (I kid, I kid...). I was actually shocked that he showed up at 8:30 to go with us to the airport. What a great friend that boy is...red eyes and all...
After dropping J off, we went up to Mooresville to check out the bargains at Linens n Things (there weren't too many, so you weren't missing anything...). We also stopped by TJ Maxx and Party City for some NYE accoutrements, then headed to Chili's for a (surprisingly) delicious lunch.
I don't remember what I did on Sunday night, but something tells me it included getting into bed early...

So, there you have it. Take it or leave it....that was my weekend...

Weird. My recollection of YOUR Friday is a little different than what the naive readers got...but I don't blame you for giving the cliff notes version. You know I love a good girls night, even if I'm not there, but wow! Talk about text harrassment... :)

Okay. Fine. Thanks for pointing out that you saw what a bowl full of crazy I am. I blame the fact that you were playing poker with the boys, so you were in your "serious Chris" mood and couldn't take my kookiness with a grain of salt.
Oh, who am I kidding? Even if you were in a coma, you would realize what a nutjob I really am.
Good thing you love me despite, well, me. :)

Oh, and J...you're a peach! I heart you!

Yay! You fixed your blogger finger! I had about resigned myself to the fact that you had retired from the blogosphere.

Hi Jules! Yes, I AM proud of my wonderful daughter! I wouldn't change a thing about her....except for the fact that she lives a buzzillion miles away and I hardly ever see her. But I'm glad she has goofy, snarky friends that not only "get" her, but also "heart" her.

:o)
